Answer: Yes, this year the contest is open only for people from India and ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam). Unfortunately people from other countries cannot participate in this challenge.

Answer: Are you wondering if you're eligible to participate in the contest? The good news is that we welcome anyone with an interest in building and problem-solving! Whether you're a hobbyist, maker, electronics enthusiast, engineering professional, or researcher - of any age or domain - we encourage you to leverage this platform and showcase your skills.

Answer: Yes, you can register as an individual but participate as a team. You can have a maximum of 5 members in a team. The member names have to be submitted when you submit your projects, all members will get individual certificates.

Answer: No, participants need not pay cash or any other form of remuneration to participate in the contest. Your interest and skills are all it takes, to participate and win this contest.

Answer: The contest runs from 26th June 2023 to 30th November 2023. Participants have to submit their project before the deadline to be considered as a valid entry for the contest. You can check out the contest timeline for more information.

Answer: The theme behind the contest is to design and build sustainable and practical solutions that will have a green impact on our society. You can choose from a wide variety of domains like Solar Projects, Renewable Energy (Wind, Hydro, Geothermal etc) Projects, Smart agriculture Projects, Energy Monitoring, Electric Vehicles, Smart Recycling, Water management etc.
Just remember any project you choose to build, should make use of a minimum two Components from Analog Devices, Microchip Technology, STMicroelectronics, Raspberry Pi, or Espressif Systems.

Answer: Yes, Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, PIC, 8051 anything goes for this challenge. You are free to select your favorite hardware and software as required by your project.
Just remember along with any of your hardware, you should also use a minimum of two components purchased from Digikey and these components should be from Analog Devices, Microchip Technology, STMicroelectronics, Raspberry Pi, or Espressif Systems.

Answer: To participate in “World Energy Challenge 2023” all contestants should purchase their components from digikey.in. However, it is not mandatory that all components used in your project should be purchased from digikey.in, so feel free to use any of your existing development boards or sensors for this project. But make sure at least a few components used in your project are purchased from digikey.in during the time of this contest.
All selected participants who purchase components from digikey.in are also eligible for the $40 rebate which will be provided by CircuitDigest after successful submission of the project.

Answer: After you have placed an order on digikey.in please forward your order confirmation E-mail to [email protected].
Terms and Conditions for Rebate:
1. The rebate amount is fixed at $40 irrespective of your total order value on DigiKey.
2. Rebate will be given only after the successful submission of the project.
3. CircuitDigest reserves the right to cancel the rebate if the order was canceled or not delivered.
4. Rebate amount can either be issued as a direct bank transfer (UPI, Paypal etc.) or as Amazon Gift Card based on your location.

Answer: You are competing against some of the bright and intuitive minds just like you. We believe in complete transparency of the contest and you will be able to see all your fellow participants and their submissions on our Participants and Submissions section respectively.

Answer: The contest will have three winners. But apart from that there will also be cash prizes for top 10 entries and first 10 submissions. The complete prize details are available on contest page. The winners will be announced on contest page and YouTube channel on 29th December 2023.

Answer: The contest winners will be determined by our esteemed Judging Panel consisting of four members. Each judge will individually assign a score to each project, with a total of 100 points available. The project that receives the highest aggregate score will be declared the winner. For a better understanding of how points are allocated, please refer to the Judging Criteria section.

Answer: Winners will be announced on 29th December 2023. If you have won the contest, CircuitDigest team will contact you through E-mail and Phone. You can also check the contest page frequently to get constant updates.
